The Filipino family usually includes not only the father, mother, and children hut also close relatives. The extended family includes the grandparents, uncles married children, and cousins. The interests and economic level of the family usually determine the things they do for fun and

1. Cooperation "Give a little and take a little"" is the idea of sharing in both work and fun in the family. This is a two-way arrangement among members of the family. Cooperation means giving up something one really wants when someone else need is more urgent. This kind of sharing brings about a feeling of unity.

2. Communication comes in two forms talking and listening and gestures such as a special Joke, a hug, or a smile. To keep the communication channels open, family numbers should express themselves and listen with understanding. Sometimes some of their ideas may not be acceptable, but talking about these may help solve the problem.

3.Confidence that family members have in each other is due to Some qualities that each one shows such as honesty, trustworthiness, and dependability. Trustworthiness can become one's most valued quality. Like honor, trust is something to be earned. Teenagers sometimes feel they are not being trusted by their parents. The truth is parents are only expressing their concern about their children's welfare and duty. Someday when you become a parent, you too will be concerned about your children's welfare.

4.Commitment is the acceptance of a trust or responsibility. Every individual has a responsibility to herself himself, her/ his family, and her/his environment and neighbors. Even little children must be given some responsibilities. For example, children must learn to keep their toys in their proper places. As one grows older, she/he becomes independent too. This means one can already make a choice of action and take full responsibility for the result. All of one's actions, including one's mistakes, help one become a responsible person.

6. Companionship teenagers usually think of companionship as the pairing, off of two people in friendship. Certainly, there is also companionship in the family and this includes sharing one's problems with one's parents or brothers and sisters. There is also loyalty companionship. Loyalty is believing and depending on each other in good and bad times. Filipinos are loyal to their families. When a member of the family is ill or We, everyone stands by that person.

5. Consideration simply means family members are mindful of the rights and feelings of others. They respect each other 's rights and feelings. When one knows that someone cares, for her/him, she/he gains self-esteem. Caring is a quality that keeps the family happy and contented.
